I have lived on a cattle farm my whole life. Growing up, we raised 400 plus head of cattle. I was apart of our local 4-H group and showing cattle was something that has been in my blood for the past 3 generations. Growing up on a cattle farm, you just think everyone grew up the same way, but man was I wrong. When I would go to stock shows, all you would talk about was cattle and how hard you have been working to train and maintain your animal. Countless hours of hard work and dedication went in to showing cattle and no one can fully understand how much work it is, until they do it themselves. The only part that everyone would see is your end result and you would do everything in your power to make sure they see you and your animal doing the best that you can. Everything would pay off in the end when you would shake the judges hand when he was congratulating you on Grand Champion. I would not change one thing about the way I was raised and how I was taught that hard work would pay off in the end.
