This year I get to coach high school girls fast-pitch softball! Softball has been a huge part of my life ever since I could walk. I grew up playing slow-pitch in the summer and then fast-pitch in the spring when I was in High School. On top of that, I had the privileged to play collegiate softball at UW-Superior. After all of that, I am now back and I am coaching. We had our first games on Tuesday the 23rd of April. That is a game I will never forget because it was my very first time coaching, plus we won 26-6 and 6-0. I am very blessed with a talented group of girls and they work hard everyday but we also know how to have fun.
Getting that first game under your belt is very important. You always want to win your first set of games because then the girls get confident in themselves and they perform better. After those games, we had another two games on that Thursday, which we also won both. Thursdays games were a little more difficult so it really showed what kind of team we were, one I was very proud of. Our next set of games is today! Wish us luck!
